Cynthia Erivo Reacts to Oscar Buzz at 'Harriet' Premiere: 'Dream Come True'

Cynthia Erivo wows on the red carpet at the premiere of her movie Harriet on Tuesday (October 29) at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles.

The 32-year-old actress was joined by her co-stars Janelle Monae, Joe Alwyn, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Vondie Curtis-Hall, Mitchell Hoog, and director Kasi Lemmons.

Also in attendance were Terry Crews with wife Rebecca, Kendrick Sampson, This Is Us‘ Jon Huertas, UnREAL‘s Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman, comedian Loni Love, Colman Domingo, and Broadway stars Stephanie Hsu, Carly Hughes, and Jeremy Pope.

On the red carpet, Cynthia was asked by Variety about the Oscar buzz surrounding her performance.

“When you say it like that… I think I was compartmentalizing it, like little bits at a time, but when you say it all at once, it sounds really crazy and amazing. It’s just a wonderful time. It means a lot. And to be around this, doing this now with all of the things that are happening, it’s a dream come true,” she said.
